With the opening of Adelaide Marriott in the city’s historic General Post Office building on Thursday, August 22, Marriott International will have its first property in Adelaide.
And with Microhire having secured the in-house audio visual contract at the hotel, the production company will be in-house at its first venue in South Australia.
Microhire is bringing some big tech into the event spaces at Adelaide Marriott, including real-time AI interpretation in multiple languages and AI tracking cameras, which use artificial intelligence to capture the action in the room – whether it be the on-stage speaker or in the audience.
“Entering the South Australian market with Marriott allows us to offer a distinct and innovative event experience,” said Bryan Dochstader, Microhire’s regional general manager for Victoria and South Australia.
“The venue’s unique appeal and our dedication to customer-focused technology will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the state.”
The production company is also installing LED and dynamic lighting into the hotel’s event space.
Alongside 285 guest rooms, the Adelaide Marriott has up to six event spaces, with the largest, the Sir Charles Todd Ballroom, able to host up to 250 delegates in theatre or 180 for a banquet.
“We are thrilled to partner with Microhire as their inaugural hotel in South Australia,” said Adelaide Marriott’s general manager, Paul Gallop.
“Their innovative approach and state-of-the-art technology perfectly aligns with our commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences.”
