In its plenary space, which can seat more than 5,500 delegates in theatre configuration, the convention centre has added LED screens on either side of the stage.
The screens measure just over 4m by 2.24m in standard size and can be extended to 4.5m by 6m, providing a vertical option.
The screens offer wider viewing angles, giving better visibility to the audience. The pair of screens have a significantly higher screen resolution than previous models while also being 50 per cent more energy efficient.
The screens can also be used as freestanding displays in other parts of the venue.
Alongside this, MCEC has installed AMX control panels in all of its meeting rooms, providing greater control of the space and all its technology.
The touchscreen panels allow control of lighting, blinds, temperate, speaker volume and music.
The convention centre is one of the first to receive these panels globally and has one of the biggest inventories of the panels in Australia.
“We source the latest technical innovations to deliver seamless and customisable events, leaving a lasting impression on attendees,” said MCEC’s head of technology, David Strangio.
“We’re proud to work with industry-leading suppliers to take our tech offering to the next level.
“Not only do we carry an extensive premium product range, we also have a team of professionals who have deep technical expertise and knowledge of our infrastructure.
“We’re proud to have such a diverse team who understand what it takes to partner with our customers to design and run a successful event,” he said.
