Arinex Group’s new CEO
Maree Di Pasquale is the new CEO of Arinex Group, taking over from Nicole Walker.
Di Pasquale joined the company in September 2024 as head of corporate and special events for Arinex, before becoming CEO of NEOTEQ, which became part of the Arinex Group in 2024. She became Arinex Group CEO in March.
Before joining Arinex, Di Pasquale was CEO of the Melbourne Art Foundation for over seven years and spent a little less than a year as director of strategic partnerships for Melbourne Convention Bureau. Prior to this she has extensive experience in the commercial side of the art world.
Alongside Di Pasquale’s appointment, Michael Edelstein has been announced as the CFO for Arinex Group.

“I’m honoured to lead this incredible team alongside Michael as a seasoned financial executive, focusing on strategic growth through enhanced creative, marketing, and tech capabilities to meet the evolving needs of our clients and delegates.”
Praised on LinkedIn for her “visionary leadership”, Walker remains on the board of Arinex and as a significant shareholder.
New managing director announced for The Langham, Sydney
Harvey Thompson is the new managing director of The Langham, Sydney.
Thompson joined Langham Hospitality Group in mid-2022 as general manager of Eaton Hong Kong and managing director of Eaton Workshop. A hospitality company within the Langham umbrella, Eaton Workshop aims to make hospitality a driver of creative, social and environmental impact.
Prior to joining the Langham brand, Thompson spent over 20 years working for various hotels within the Marriott International and Starwood brands, prior to Starwood properties being absorbed into Marriott in 2016.
“We are thrilled to have a seasoned leader like Harvey join The Langham, Sydney,” said Jeffrey Van Vorsselen, regional vice president of operations for the Pacific for Langham Hospitality Group.
Thompson’s appointment follows the departure of The Langham, Sydney’s former general manager, Shane Jolly, who has gone to head up the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.
New GM for Pullman Sydney Penrith and the Western Sydney Convention Centre
Charles Young has joined the team at the Panthers precinct in Penrith as general manager of both the 152-room Pullman Sydney Penrith hotel and the Western Sydney Convention Centre (WSCC).
Young brings over 25 years of experience in hospitality and hotel management to his new role.
Most recently the general manager of Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains, Young also has international experience in Hawaii and China and in artificial intelligence for the hotel sector.
“What attracted me to Pullman Sydney Penrith and the WSCC is the new life and energy we are infusing into the community,” said Young.
“I’m especially looking forward to WSCC becoming a key player in attracting large events and conventions to Penrith, injecting vitality and attention into Western Sydney.”
The WSCC has just begun offering a one point of contact service for the event opportunities throughout the entire Panthers precinct in which the hotel and conference centre are located.
