The showcase for the renewed venue, attended by 150 people last Thursday, also included Showtime Event Group’s other two venues in the South Wharf precinct, Cargo Hall and Aerial. Cargo Hall is also getting a refresh.
“In developing our vision and plan for the transformation of this space, we asked our staff, clients and industry stakeholders what elements they loved about the original space as well as what would take our business and offering to the next level,” said Showtime Event Group’s chief commercial officer, Katie Tinetti.
“The redesign project, which will continue to evolve in 2027 with stage two, is part of a major investment by Showtime Event Group and really heralds the start of an exciting new era for the business.
“Our revitalised Showtime Events Centre gives us a stunning and flexible canvas to bring clients’ corporate events, gala dinners, launches, weddings and celebrations to life, while a complete redesign and refinishing of Showtime’s feature bar – one of the venue’s defining focal points – creates a much stronger visual statement within the room.
“This space gives us the freedom to be creative, innovative and unexpected in what we deliver, while creating concepts that can inspire experiences across our wider portfolio.
“The new house and architectural lighting that has been integrated throughout the venue gives our creative and production teams greater ability to create ambience, mood and atmosphere,” said Tinetti.
Thursday evening’s event also gave the venue group’s culinary team a chance to demonstrate its offering.
“The showcase provided a glimpse of our new culinary direction demonstrating the creativity, precision and flexibility of Showtime Event Group’s food and beverage offering,” said Showtime Event Group’s head of culinary, Karl Edmonds.
“The menu inspiration was to be part of the spectacle by delivering a series of visually stunning, flavour-led moments.”
At 435m2, the Showtime Events Centre can host cocktail events of 600 pax or 280 for gala dinners.
