Ahead of a formal program announcement, FACTS organisers have released some information on sessions the business events industry can expect from their summit.

New experience launched at Auckland’s Sky Tower

SkyCity and AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand have teamed up to debut a new thrill ride down the side of the soaring Auckland landmark.

Called SkyRide, participants are lifted 192m up the outside of the Sky Tower before a decent of up to 100km an hour.

The new experience joins two existing experiences from outside the top of the tower – SkyJump, which involves a “controlled descent” and SkyWalk, during which participants take a walk around the outside of the tower 192m above the ground.

“SkyRide is an exhilarating new way to experience Auckland. From the moment you’re lifted up the side of the Sky Tower to the high-speed descent back to ground level, it’s a ride designed to get your heart racing while taking in some of the best views in the country,” said SkyCity’s hospitality general manager David Allott.
