The partnership comes as Doltone House prepares to open a hero new venue on Darling Harbour on the edge of the Sydney CBD, in the same precinct as the convention centre, ICC Sydney, and Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour.
Part of Mirvac’s Harbourside development that is currently under construction, the new venue, Doltone House Harbourside, will offer 4,500m2 of event space, with capacity to host events in various formats for groups of up to 1,250 people.
Doltone House Harbourside is expected to open in October 2027.
The partnership with BESydney will see the two organisations collaborate in an effort to draw more international business events to Sydney.
“Iconic destinations are brought to life through visionary partnerships,” said Doltone House CEO, Anna Cesarano.
“We are proud to work alongside BESydney to contribute to the future of global business events in Sydney and to create opportunities for more of the world to experience our city through exceptional events.”
BESydney’s CEO, Amanda Lampe, is already eagerly anticipating the opening of Doltone House’s latest venue next year.
“It was super exciting to get a briefing from Doltone House CEO Anna Cesarano about their amazing new venue, Harbourside, which is currently being built in partnership with Mirvac,” said Lampe.
“Sydney is building up an extraordinary array of venues and experiences for business events visitors and Harbourside is going to be another spectacular addition.”
Doltone House already operates several other venues in and around Sydney’s city centre, including venues on several wharves in Pyrmont as well as managing the event spaces at The Star Sydney now owned by Foundation Theatres.
BESydney and Doltone House had an existing partnership centred around Doltone House Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont.
