Formerly known as the Cabra-Vale Diggers Club until a rebrand earlier this year, the southwest Sydney club resort has just opened the 140-room Novotel Sydney Cabramatta as part of a $230 million investment in the site over recent years.
The investment has already seen new event spaces launched at the venue, with future developments to include a 1,000-seat convention centre alongside more restaurants.
The weekend’s opening ran over two days and nights, featuring immersive entertainment, dancing lions, live music, dining, fireworks and a drone show.
The opening was attended by politicians, Business Western Sydney and community members. The NSW Premier Chris Minns also recorded a video message for the occasion while Australian singer Guy Sebastian was a special guest.
“This opening is more than a milestone – it’s a moment of pride for Western Sydney,” said Cabravale Club Resort’s CEO, Boris Belevski.
“Cabravale Club Resort represents a new era for our community: a place where people can stay, play and celebrate, right here in the west.
“We’re showcasing what this region is capable of – ambition, energy and heart – and setting a new benchmark for hospitality in Australia.”
Currently Cabravale Club Resort offers event space for up to 400 in banquet, alongside smaller spaces for between 40 and 64 in banquet.
The venue is a short walk from Cabramatta train station and a 35-45 minute drive from Western Sydney International Airport, which is due to open late next year.
