The new studio spaces with river views range in size from 55m2 to 63m2, offering single spaces for groups of up to 49 and come with a strong technology offering, including LED screens with ultra-fine pixel pitch for clearer vision, ceiling audio, wireless presentation and content sharing capabilities and one-touch room controls.
Event groups of up to 136 can also take the whole level six floor, which also features a central space for event arrival and catering.
Repurposed from offices, the hotel is positioning the new spaces for executive meetings, small conferences and private dining as it flags a rise in demand for short-lead, small group business.
“We’re seeing a real appetite from meeting planners for spaces that do more than simply accommodate a meeting,” said W Brisbane’s director of sales and distribution, Kirsty Clunes.
“They’re looking for venues that feel distinctive, have the technology to support the way businesses operate today and give them the flexibility to create an experience around their attendees.
“Natural light, views, quality food and beverage and advanced AV are all increasingly important considerations, particularly for smaller groups where every element of the experience is more visible, and level six has been designed with that in mind.”
The new intimate event space offering at W Brisbane complements its existing meeting spaces, including its 595m2 Great Room and four other studio spaces on its other dedicated event floor on level three.
