From this month, VenueNow also list suppliers on their platform, with suppliers able to sign up for just $1 until the end of the year.
“This is a huge initiative that we’ve been working on for many many months and it all stems from the fact that VenueNow is the place where events begin,” VenueNow co-founder and CEO, Jake Dimarco, told a client appreciation event in Sydney last night, attended by micenet.
“[VenueNow is] where event organisers come to discover incredible venues…to find those magical venues to help those events come to life. But we also know that suppliers and vendors make an event that extra special.”
The platform also announced it will support OzHarvest in an ongoing campaign, funding meals for those in need through the food rescue charity for every event booked through VenueNow.
Dimarco’s co-founder, Dave Smith will also take part in an OzHarvest CEO Cook-Off soon.
Dimarco and Smith started Spare Workspace in 2015 and merged with VenueMob in 2019, with the VenueNow brand launched in 2020.
The company has fielded $2 billion of event enquiries over the last decade and has just come off a massive year, with $400 million worth of event enquiries put through the platform to venues in the last financial year.
Alongside self-guided searches, which deliver individual event space results – rather than by overall venue or hotel – VenueNow offers a free venue finding service through its team.
