Tourism Australia preparing to host nearly 80 international buyers for incentive showcase
As Tourism Australia prepares to deliver Dreamtime 2023, anchored in Adelaide, the business events industry around the country is set to benefit.

Almost 80 international buyers will fly in to Australia from overseas to attend the showcase. Fourteen international and domestic media, including micenet, will also attend.

Ninety Australian industry sellers will attend the business session in Adelaide to meet directly with sellers and the Adelaide centrepiece will be surrounded by famils to other Australian destinations.

International buyers from Greater China, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, South Korea, Japan, New Zealand, North America and United Kingdom will attend pre and post educational visits to other Australian destinations including Cairns, Uluru, Kangaroo Island, Perth, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Research from Business Events Australia, Tourism Australia’s specialist business events unit, has continuously identified a strong correlation between firsthand experience of Australia and a stronger conversion rate, making Dreamtime a key business opportunity for Australia.

“Our latest research indicates the international business events landscape is in a stronger position compared to 12 months ago, and the outlook for the Australian business events industry is positive,” said Tourism Australia’s executive general manager of commercial and Business Events Australia, Robin Mack, as the agency makes final preparations for Dreamtime.

“In the incentive space, Australia was ranked the number one incentive destination across 22 attributes, including excellent business facilities, value for money, and safety and security. This positive recovery trend echoes the feedback we’re hearing from industry.”

Meanwhile Business Events Adelaide’s CEO Damien Kitto believes Dreamtime will showcase both Australia’s and Adelaide’s capabilities to deliver bespoke incentive itineraries for all group sizes.

“Team Adelaide are putting together a fantastic program of experiences for all guests that will provide a sense of the flexibility, variety and quality of our bespoke corporate incentive offer,” said Kitto.

In the past Australia has hosted incentive groups of more than 10,000 participants.

The Adelaide program for Dreamtime will take place from November 7 to 9.
