Three more Australian-based leaders join PCMA regional advisory board
Global industry association PCMA has added 10 new members to its Asia Pacific advisory board.

The three new Australian-based members of the advisory board are Saxton CEO, Anne Jamieson, Stuart Frank, senior director of field events for Asia Pacific at Salesforce, and Shelley Ryan, events and incentives manager for FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia.

The trio join the four other Australian members of the 18-person advisory board who are each serving their second year of a two-year term – Ben Taylor, APAC CEO for George P Johnson and Project Worldwide, Mayvin Global founder and CEO, Deanna Varga, AusIMM COO, Melissa Holdsworth, and Paula Rowntree, head of events at the Australian Psychological Society.

The other seven new members of the advisory board are based in Asia – from Malaysia to Singapore and Hong Kong.

“Our diverse regional advisory board represents voices from corporations, associations, agencies, suppliers and academic institutions,” said PCMA’s Asia Pacific managing director, Florence Chua.

“They embody the wide community we serve, acting as our sounding board and ambassadors, providing deep local insights and connections to our members and stakeholders. We are grateful for their generous leadership and contribution to better the business events industry.”

Alongside the announcement of the new members of the APAC advisory board, PCMA has confirmed its conference, the Business of Events – not to be confused with the UK-based think tank of the same name – will take place from April 13-15 next year at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, dovetailing with young industry exhibition, The Meetings Show Asia Pacific, which will have its second iteration at the same venue on April 16 and 17.

The Singapore Tourism Board is supporting PCMA’s conference.

“Singapore is excited to welcome back The Business of Events (BOE) in 2025, alongside The Meetings Show Asia Pacific,” said Singapore Tourism Board’s executive director of conventions, meetings and incentive travel, Dr. Edward Koh.

“The success of the inaugural BOE 2024 in gathering diverse and dynamic business event stakeholders highlighted the ever-increasing need to exchange knowledge and forge innovative solutions within the Asia Pacific community.

“As Singapore looks to strengthen its positioning as the ‘World’s Best MICE City’, we look forward to continuing this momentum of impactful idea sharing and advancing the business events industry, together with important stakeholders such as PCMA.”
