The luxury resort on Noosa’s iconic Hastings Street is in the midst of a significant renovation.

All 175 rooms are getting a full-scale makeover, with around 80 per cent of rooms also getting completely new bathrooms.

As part of the Sunshine Soiree famil on the Sunshine Coast earlier this month, micenet had the opportunity to see the renovation in progress and can confirm the extent of the works will yield a true transformation of guest rooms.

“This resort has always been the jewel of Hastings Street, and we’re taking it to the next level,” said Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort’s general manager, Mark Wilkinson.

“We’re refining what people love about Sofitel Noosa – thoughtful styling, intuitive service and a genuine welcome – while elevating comfort in every detail.

“From rooms to restaurants, each touchpoint is a modern expression of Noosa that feels internationally refined yet unmistakably local.”

The renovation will take in the hotel’s event spaces, the largest of which is the ballroom, with its expansive LED wall and floor-to-ceiling windows, that can seat 350 delegates in theatre mode.

The onsite dining offering Noosa Beach House is also being refurbished as part of the renovation and is currently closed, with an anticipated reopening in November.

Other than that, the luxury property remains open during the renovation, with works expecting to be complete by the end of this year.

Hastings Street in Noosa, where Sofitel Noosa Pacific is located, backs onto the beachfront and leads up to the Noosa National Park, which offers walks with stunning ocean views.
