Pullman Brisbane King George Square has brought in several new faces, including in sales, marketing and management roles.

Andrew Hodson has joined the 210-room hotel as its new director of sales. Already with Accor since November 2019, Hodson also has hotel experience in both London and Cape Town. His sales approach is informed by previous roles working front of house, in guest relations and reception.

Meanwhile, Paul Ison is Pullman Brisbane King George Square’s new director of marketing.

Ison comes to his new role with more than 20 years of marketing experience, covering hotels, hospitality and events.

On the management front, Jefferson Lagarde joins the hotel as executive assistant manager, while Thomas Annand joins as front office manager.

The French-born Lagarde has spent the majority of his career with Accor, moving over from Sofitel Brisbane Central in August last year, where he spent close to seven years in a variety of roles, culminating in being the director of rooms and luxury experience.

Annand also moves over from Sofitel Brisbane Central, where he was, most recently, senior assistant operations manager for conferences and events. He has previous held roles with Stamford Hotels and Resorts and The Calile Brisbane.

“I am excited to see this dynamic new team already establishing themselves and driving positive change within each of their departments and the hotel,” said Pullman King George Square’s general manager, Nic O’Donnell.

“Pullman Brisbane King George Square is on the cusp of several big projects kicking off and 2026 is shaping up to be a massive one for the property.

“The experience and skillsets of each of these new team members create the perfect platform for growth, innovation and for the hotel to continue to uphold its position as one of the city’s favourites.”

Alongside its 210 rooms, Pullman Brisbane King George Square has more than 1,000m2 of event space.
