On Saturday The Star Brisbane’s Isoletto Pool Club opened on level seven of the $3.6 billion riverfront precinct in the subtropical city.
Set across 527m2, the club includes three infinity pools with panoramic views of the city and beyond, a gym, sauna, steam room and hospitality venue. An event space is also part of the offering.
The menu in the bar and cafe is inspired by both Queensland and the European summer, offering the likes of burrata and a Mooloolaba prawn cocktail.
The pool area and club offers open air, partly covered and fully undercover spaces.
“Isoletto is where you come to bask in the pleasures of life, soaking up the best Queensland has to offer,” said The Star Brisbane’s general manager of hotels, Rikesh Rajakulasingham.
“With its attractive resort-style atmosphere, panoramic vistas and approachable hospitality offering, Isoletto is destined to be Brisbane’s hottest resort offering not just in winter, but all year round.”
Isoletto Pool Club is open to guests of The Star Grand at Queen’s Wharf which has 340 rooms.
The opening of the pool club has gone ahead despite The Star Entertainment Group making a deal to exit Queen’s Wharf as it looks to improve its financial position.
In March, the company came to an arrangement with its fellow investors in the precinct, Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium.
The deal sees The Star Entertainment Group take full ownership of the The Star Gold Coast, in which Chow Tai Fook Enterprises and Far East Consortium are also invested, and pocket $53 million, in return for The Star handing over its 50 per cent stake in Queen’s Wharf to its two co-investors in the precinct, who, combined, own the remainder of the Brisbane development.
