The multi-million-dollar program of works took in renewal of two thirds of PARKROYAL Parramatta’s room stock – completed last year – and, more recently, a refresh of the property’s 13 event spaces.
A hero element of the transformation of the event spaces is the addition of a 10m by three metre LED wall in the 402m2 Governor’s Ballroom, installed by Encore. A new audio system was also installed in the ballroom, while all event spaces received new wall panelling, carpets and paint.
“As we celebrate PARKROYAL Parramatta’s 40th anniversary this year, completing this transformation is both a reflection of our proud history and our commitment to the future,” said Pan Pacific Hotels’ Group cluster general manager for Sydney, Jeroen Meijer.
“Following the refurbishment of our guest rooms in 2025 as the first phase of the transformation, this next stage reflects both our proud history and our commitment to the future. It ensures we’re not only ready to meet growing demand, but also to deliver an enhanced experience for every guest.”
The last phase of renovation also included refurbishing the hotel’s PARKROYAL Suite, which spans 116m2 and can be used to host executive meetings with up to six attendees, with the hotel’s team able to create a boardroom set-up in the space, complete with personalised menus as part of the culinary offering. The suite offers presentation technology to facilitate its use as an intimate meeting space.

“The completion of this transformation ensures we’re well positioned to support that future while continuing to deliver the personalised service and local expertise that has always set PARKROYAL Parramatta apart.”
The completion of upgrades to the hotel comes just ahead of Powerhouse Parramatta opening in November, which will provide several more unique event spaces practically next door to the hotel, and the opening of Western Sydney International Airport in October, which is putting Western Sydney in the spotlight as a business events destination for national meetings.
