PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport reveals upgraded event spaces
The hotel has upgraded all 16 of its event spaces as part of the property’s multi-million-dollar revamp.

The look and feel of the redesigned spaces is inspired by Australia’s heritage, Melbourne’s character and Victoria’s landscapes. Rooms also feature bespoke carpets and accent lighting.

With a dedicated events floor, large spaces include the Victoria Ballroom, which can seat 300 in theatre, the Macedon Room for up to 140 in theatre, the Bendigo and Wangaratta Room for up to 90 in theatre and the Ballarat and Daylesford Room for up to 64 in theatre.

More intimate spaces include the Stawell and Mt Buller rooms for twelve each in boardroom configuration.

Fourteen of the 16 spaces have natural light, with double-glazed windows to minimise aircraft noise.

The onsite restaurant Airo Restaurant and Bar can also do private dining for up to 60 people.

“Our refurbished meetings and events floor offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, perfect for conferences, corporate dinners, cocktail parties, fully-contained residential meetings and more,” said PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport’s general manager, Cameron Mead.

“We’ve always had a lot of repeat business due to the versatility of the spaces, and the convenience we offer, given we’re the only [hotel] directly connected to the airport’s terminals via an undercover skybridge, and offer flight arrival and departure screens in our lobby.

“We’ve observed a particular appetite from the industry association market for our conference spaces, as these bodies draw members from across all states who enjoy the cost, time and resource savings of fly-in-fly-out meetings,” he said.

“We’ve also secured events with both new and existing clients in the medical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, government, logistics, manufacturing and corporate sectors, ranging from one-day boardroom meetings to multi-day residential conferences.

“These groups have been eagerly awaiting the re-opening of the meeting and events floor and we are grateful for their overwhelmingly positive feedback.”
