A combination of eco lodges, glamping tents and a glamorous suite with its own outdoor hot spring pool mean up to 70 people can be accommodated at the property overnight.
Both indoor and outdoor spa options, wellness packages, farm to table food and beverage offerings plus dedicated meeting spaces are all designed to reinvigorate the team. The facility provides what it refers to as “sleep inspired accommodation” and being well away from the freeway in a coastal bush environment should encourage a restful night.
All told the facility, opened in 1997 among the sandy hills of Fingal, 90kms from Melbourne, can take up to 2,000 people across its more than 40-acre property. Three large eco lodges, each with 10 separate bedrooms, are set among the tea trees. Accommodation is booked by the room.
The Peninsula Suite is a next level retreat which includes a spacious master bedroom, kitchenette and living and dining areas set on an elevated site. Outside is a private hot spring pool. A range of experiences is available to suite guests, including all bathing and access to the adults-only Spa Dreaming Centre.
Other onsite accommodation is available in 10 glamping tents, band Peninsula Hot Springs has also negotiated arrangements for larger groups wanting an overnight stay at nearby properties including the 72-room Peppers Moonah Links.
On a recent visit to the Peninsula Hot Springs facility, micenet met the experienced events team who understand the needs of business events organisers.
Founder of the development, Charles Davidson, drew inspiration for it from Japan’s hot springs culture. The naturally occurring hot springs bubbling up from up to 1,000m below ground were known to be on Mornington Peninsula back in 1979, but regulatory approvals meant it took time to bring the dream to reality.
