Developed by Mulpha Australia, The Lane Retreat offers 60 high-end studio retreats each with king-size beds, luxury bathrooms with double rain head showers, kitchenettes and gourmet breakfast provisions. After a busy day at a conference or having had a lazy day pre or post event, the outdoor deck provides a great place to relax with a glass of wine and cheese platter while taking in the expansive views when the sun is setting and the stars are slowly coming out.
With its versatile indoor and outdoor spaces, The Lane Retreat caters for meetings, events and various activities. Onsite activities include winery tours, a wine blending challenge, yoga and meditation and team building challenges.
A beautiful setting for any event, overlooking vineyards and natural bushland, Palmer’s Lane offers an indoor area adaptable to your preferred layout. It can accommodate up to 130 pax for lunch or dinner and up to 170 pax for cocktails. Delegates can also enjoy the charming outdoor gazebo for lunches and/or breakout sessions.
Also situated on the property is the bespoke Lane Pantry with its gourmet provisions, local wines and hand-crafted homewares. It’s a great location for a casual get together complemented by great coffee.
About five minutes’ drive away is Bimbadgen Estate – home of Esca Bimbadgen Restaurant. A unique dining experience where simple elegant food, locally sourced or grown, has been carefully curated and expertly paired with the estate’s wines as well as other outstanding wines from the Hunter region. It’s all about simplicity and letting flavours and freshness of the produce speak for themselves.
The restaurant, with its panoramic view over the vineyards, can seat up to 100 pax with the terrace area seating up to 40 pax. Also available for private bookings is the cellar door private dining room for up to 20 pax.
For a casual wood-fired pizza lunch or dinner with a glass of wine or two – Bimbadgen’s Pizzeria is highly recommended. With its Tuscan style courtyard and vine-covered pergola, the area can seat up to 90 pax and boasts spectacular views over the vineyards.
Another delightful Mulpha-owned venue nearby is Emma’s Cottage Vineyard – a boutique winery with a cellar door that can seat up to 40 pax. With its stunning backdrop of vineyards, accommodation includes a five-bedroom two-storey homestead, plus four self-contained 2-4 bedroom cottages. Emma’s Cottage ‘Wine Shed’ is perfect for private events, seating up to 80 pax.
