It will also be promoting different regions of Thailand at the inaugural The Meetings Show Asia Pacific (TMSAP) in Singapore in April.
At AIME, Phuket and Chiang Mai were cited for natural authenticity and the charm of local cultures – ideal for incentive programs. Bangkok, with its frequent development of new facilities and venues, was recommended for large corporate meetings.
Also highlighted was the practice of net-zero carbon and sustainability centred around social responsibility, cultural engagement and local community benefits.
TCEB’s delegation at AIME included Thailand Incentive and Convention Association, Thai Hotels Association, Association of Thai Travel Agents, SITE Thailand, local destination associations, global hotel brands and DMCs.
In a ‘sneak peek’ of its participation in The Meetings Show in Singapore next month, TCEB said it will be offering more destinations in different regions of Thailand, especially for the design of “one trip, multiple locations”.
“TCEB will offer support campaigns in partnership with attractions and shopping malls in key destinations, providing event planners with a broader and more diverse range of locations and activities,” said TCEB’s president, Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya.
“We will also collaborate with local communities and networks to create memorable local experiences for meetings and incentives groups in various regions of Thailand,” he added.
“This includes the creation of MICE routes in each province and developing a premium MICE program that transforms local products and services into souvenirs, snacks and gifts that bolster the local economy.”
The Meetings Show will take place at Sands Expo and Convention Centre on April 17 and 18, 2024.
