Ina Joubert has joined Microhire and will focus on human resources including the staff training initiative, Microhire Academy.
Joubert joins Susan Hamilton as the company’s other recent hire, who returned to the events industry post-pandemic as she stepped into the newly created director of sales and marketing role at Microhire in April.
With the business expanding into New Zealand – in-house at the JW Marriott Auckland – and South Australia – with the opening of Adelaide Marriott – Microhire has also expanded the roles of several other members of its executive team.
Geoff Townend has added New Zealand to his regional general manager remit, alongside New South Wales, while Bryan Dochstader has added South Australia to his oversight of Microhire’s presence in Victoria.
Meanwhile Karsten Richert added Fiji to his remit, alongside Queensland, at the end of 2023.
In addition its executive shuffles, Microhire has debuted a new logo, integrating existing elements like the pause and play symbols, which are a nod to the planning and execution of events, into a more modern, design-thinking approach. Red has become the dominant colour within the logo.
“We’ve evolved our brand to ensure that we remain relevant in an industry that is constantly advancing and have done so in a way that honours our past and firmly cements the trust and confidence that our valued clients place in us,” said Microhire CEO, Jamie Hughes.
“Our brand has always been about more than just events; it’s about meaningful connections and creating moments that leave a lasting impact.
“With our new tagline, ‘EVENTS THAT INSPIRE’, we are reaffirming our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in event staging, while staying true to the DNA that has made Microhire a trusted brand for nearly four decades.”
