MEETINGS 2024 shaping up to break another record
With the number of exhibition stands already exceeding 2023, day buyer registrations have opened for New Zealand’s flagship business events trade show MEETINGS.

This year, MEETINGS’ owner and organiser, Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA), has boosted the inclusions for registered day buyers to help them maximise their time at the show.

“We’ve made some dynamic changes this year to give day buyers opportunities to meet exhibitors of their choice,” said BEIA chief executive Lisa Hopkins.

“In addition to the usual breaks, appointment-free time has been scheduled each morning and a networking period is set for the end of day one.

“Registration is free for the day buyer programme, there is no mandatory time commitment and extra benefits have been designed to boost knowledge and experience.”

With MEETINGS to be held in Rotorua in 2024, free coach transfers from Auckland are available to registered day buyers. Day buyers who visit the show for at least three hours can also apply for a NZ$100 flight rebate for their travel to the event.

Industry rates for accommodation in Rotorua will be available to day buyers and free evening activities on the first night of the show are on offer to day buyers, offering a taste of Rotorua’s famous geothermal hot springs. Local attractions Wai Ariki Hot Springs and Spa, Polynesian Spa and Secret Spot Hot Tubs are all offering complimentary experiences for day buyers attending MEETINGS.

Day buyers can purchase tickets to attend the MEETINGS welcome event and the gala celebration that marks its conclusion but places are limited and tickets are not guaranteed.

Hosted buyer applications, including for Australians, are also currently open, offering the full MEETINGS experience, including flights – excluding taxes for Australians – accommodation, a pre-show famil of Roturua and the MEETINGS social events.

MEETINGS 2023 was the largest iteration of the event to date, with 224 stands on the show floor and around 400 buyers. The show also generated a record NZ$157 million in business for exhibitors. The number of stands booked for 2024 already exceeds 2023, with just under three months to go until the show kicks off.

MEETINGS 2024 will take place June 19 and 20 in Rotorua on New Zealand’s North Island. Rotorua last hosted the event 13 years ago.
