Legends completed its acquisition of ASM Global – which operates several convention centres and other large-scale venues in Australia and New Zealand – last August, for an undisclosed amount.
For the last year, ASM Global has continued to trade under its own name.
“Legends Global is uniting with a shared commitment to excellence and with one clear focus: delivering world-class experiences at unmatched scale and quality for our partners,” said Legends Global CEO, Dan Levy.
“Our global network, expertise, and passion for bringing people together allow us to serve our partners and their guests with seamless execution and constant innovation. This new era positions us to shape the future of live entertainment across the world’s most iconic venues and events.”
While Legends Global started off as concession and merchandising stand operators, the company grew to offer a variety of services to venues, sports and entertainment brands and attractions. These services included venue planning, project management and sales, sponsorship and merchandise services.
ASM Global was a venue management company, which has the likes of ICC Sydney, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Cairns Convention Centre, Darwin Convention Centre and various arenas and stadiums under management in Australia. It also operates Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre in New Zealand and works across venues around the world, including in Asia, the Middle East and the UK.
The combined entity has nearly 100,000 staff around the globe.
The local presence of Legends Global is overseen by Harvey Lister, chair and CEO of the business across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa.
