First five-star hotel opens in Gladstone

Accor has opened Peppers Gladstone in the central Queensland destination.

The 32-room hotel is co-located with the 60-room Mantra Gladstone, at the Yaralla Sports Club.

The Gladstone Events Centre is also part of the sports club and caters to groups of 18 to 370 banquet style in a single space.

Peppers Gladstone is the first new-build hotel in the coastal town for more than 10 years.

“The debut of Peppers Gladstone is a proud moment for Accor as it brings a new level of hospitality to Central Queensland,” said Accor Pacific’s chief operating officer Adrian Williams.

“This hotel is a unique addition to our premium brand portfolio and exemplifies our commitment to creating extraordinary guest experiences, blending Peppers’ signature style with the charm of Gladstone.”

The hotel has a heated outdoor swimming pool along with complimentary drinks at the pool deck bar at certain times of day, an eight-seat cinema room and a gym. There are also three meeting rooms available between the Mantra and Peppers.

Peppers Gladstone is made up of studio rooms up to two-bedroom apartments.

Gladstone is the gateway to the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. Qantas and Virgin offer multiple flights to Gladstone from Brisbane each day.
