As with the initial overarching destination video, launched last month, the videos present an organiser’s perspective.
“Our city’s wide range of offsite venues and unique experiences, combined with our superb weather and location, makes the Gold Coast a sought-after incentive travel destination to connect, celebrate and reward teams,” said Experience Gold Coast’s business events director, Brooke Campbell.
“And we can support association conferences by tapping into the strength of our developed key sectors such as medicine, health, education, screen and sport for partnerships, opportunities and insights.
“Whether you’re an incentive group looking to create memories that last a lifetime, or an association wanting to inspire ideas, share the latest research and do business, if it can be imagined, [it] can happen on the Gold Coast,” she said.
The association video highlights various aspects of the Gold Coast’s knowledge and innovation ecosystem, which are perhaps lesser known than its beaches.
The three videos were a collaboration between Experience Gold Coast’s business events unit, Business Events Gold Coast, and Tourism Australia’s specialist team and brand, Business Events Australia, as part of the Advance Program.
“Tourism Australia is delighted to have supported this initiative which will help international business events decision makers to visualise what their event could look like on the Gold Coast,” said Tourism Australia’s executive general manager of commercial and Business Events Australia, Robin Mack.
“Our Business Events Advance Program is all about attracting more business events to Australia and we hope Experience Gold Coast’s new video series, which showcases the region as an ideal business events destination, will help to do just that,” he said.
The new videos will have an international debut this month at IMEX Frankfurt, at which Experience Gold Coast will have a presence as part of the Business Events Australia stand.
