Exhibition spots sell out for Adelaide’s local industry showcase
Business Events Adelaide has sold out its member showcase for local event planners next month.

Much like Brisbane Pop-Up announced last week for Queensland’s capital city, Connect Adelaide offers the city’s convention bureau members an opportunity to connect directly with potential local event organiser clients.

The event will take place between noon and 2pm on September 26 at Adelaide Oval, bringing together venues, hotels and other industry suppliers with qualified event buyers organising local, national or international events in Adelaide.

“We are delighted with the response from our members to Connect Adelaide,” said Business Events Adelaide’s CEO Damien Kitto.

This year, the showcase will also have strong representation from outside the capital city.

“We reached capacity on the number of exhibitors in a matter of days, and it is really pleasing that a quarter are from regional South Australia,” said Kitto.

“Members understand the importance of meeting face-to-face to provide business event solutions, and we hope many local business event organisers take the opportunity to ‘connect’ with local suppliers.

“Feedback when we bring people together is always positive, and we are looking forward to a successful business exchange to grow the number of business events held in Adelaide and South Australia in 2024.”

Event organisers wishing to attend Connect Adelaide should contact the bureau to arrange their attendance.

Adelaide-based industry will have two other major new business opportunities this year, with the city set to host Tourism Australia’s international incentive showcase event, Dreamtime in November as well as the Professional Conference Organisers Association annual conference in December. Both events will draw event organisers to the South Australian capital for a firsthand experience of its business events offerings.
