EventsAir launches EventsAir Academy

The event tech provider EventsAir has launched a new digital learning platform to help its customers get the most out of its event management software.

Built in collaboration with digital learning provider HowToo, the academy is a more flexible learning tool for event planners.

“EventsAir is full of features and incredibly flexible, and all our customers use it differently,” says EventsAir’s chief customer officer, Renee Elliott.

“Our previous online learning program was great for universities and colleges using the Rising Star program for event management students but too structured for our customers.

“The new version is super-flexible so people can learn the way they want to, and pick and choose the areas they want to focus on.

“It’ll also get them up to speed much faster.

“The added bonus is that students will also enjoy it more!”

The new EventsAir Academy represents a ground up reworking of the company’s training offering – including spending six month choosing HowToo as the platform to deliver it.

“We started work on revamping our online learning in early 2024, but it was complex,” says Elliott.

“Based on customer feedback and changes to EventsAir including a complete UI uplift, we wanted to do a total overhaul, not just make a few tweaks.”

EventsAir’s head of education, Justine Stewart, says the new learning platform helps customers think about how they can best use the various tools available within EventsAir’s offering as part of the onboarding process.

“The new learning content is less about ‘follow this set exercise’ or ‘do this quiz’, and more about encouraging people to actively consider ‘how can I use this feature?’ as they’re discovering what’s possible,” says Stewart.

“I could list EventsAir features all day but ultimately it’s how you can combine them all – the fact that you can have all your information about attendees, accommodation, agenda, exhibitors, financials etc. all feeding into the one platform – and the new lessons really focus on getting people to understand and think laterally about that right from the start.

“Moving to the HowToo platform has allowed us to get much more creative with how we present the materials; there are videos, interactive elements, and a visually beautiful interface.

“It’s easy for learners to choose their own learning path, and within each lesson they have the option to watch the videos, do the exercises or both.

“We’re also continuing to build a learning/self-help ecosystem via our help articles and webinars, support chatbot and in-platform help too.”

Meanwhile, Elliott says the academy means EventsAir’s customer support team “can respond faster and resolve more complex issues”.

“Now our Customer Success team can spend less time going through the basics and more time helping customers take their use of EventsAir to the next level and really get the most out of it,” she says.
