Encore manages its largest ever back-to-back incentive program
The Indian incentive included 32 events and 17 venues over two weeks in New Zealand.

The incentive was for 700 employees of Asian Paints in India, with a VIP group also undertaking an extension of their incentive in Sydney.

The incentive program took place in two waves, with each group visiting both Queenstown and Auckland. Both groups participated in a full two-week program.

The program included gala dinners, high teas and team building activities and took place at locations such as Doubtful Sound on New Zealand’s South Island and SkyCity in Auckland on the North Island.

Each evening brought a different strategic theme to motivate and celebrate participants. Themes included game shows, beer fests and outer space.

Some of the more extravagant and theatrical elements of the program included flying in 24 chefs from India and Dubai to cater the event, moving from location to location with delegates, as well as the technical elements deployed by Encore Event Technologies such as advanced holograms, kabuki drops, pyrotechnics and super-wide LED screens, stretching more than 30 metres across.

“In New Zealand we had the pleasure of working with local suppliers, local resources and really harnessed those grass-rooting experiences with New Zealand culture,” said Encore Event Technologies’ APAC managing director, Scott Nodsle.

“This event truly exemplified how innovative technology and strategic event design can transform incentive travel into an unforgettable experience that beautifully showcases the host city’s culture and capabilities.”

The event ran from mid-April to the start of May.

This is the second large-scale New Zealand incentive Encore has worked on within the last year.

The business was heavily involved in the 10,000-pax Amway incentive which also visited Auckland and Queenstown between October and December last year. Encore has already picked up a Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) state award in New South Wales for this project, with the national winner to be announced at the gala dinner for MEA’s Evolve conference later this month.
