Event styling business Divine Events has merged with furniture and styling hire business Décor of Distinction to create the new entity.
The new combined business will be led by the two directors of the existing companies, Divine Events’ Geoff Austin and Hilton Cohn from Décor With Distinction. D PLUS D Events is headquartered in Alexandria.
Austin believes the new company fills a post-pandemic void of an all-inclusive service-oriented styling and event hire company.
“We are not your ordinary ‘cookie-cutter’ styling and hire company. Our passion lies in crafting unique solutions that cater to any budget or brief,” he said.
Meanwhile Cohn said that constant evolution of the products on offer was important for D PLUS D Events.
“Our commitment entails introducing new products and continually expanding our versatile and modular ranges.
“The timing couldn’t be more perfect, as there is a growing demand for in-person connections and experiences through beautifully designed events.
“By combining, collaborating and complementing our expertise of styling services and furniture hire, we are prepared to meet this demand with flair.”
The new business had a launch event last Thursday to celebrate their merger.
In the merger announcement, D PLUS D Events also flagged that it has partnered with social enterprise Florapeutic to help minimise flower waste from events, through flower donation and preservation.
