Destination South Australia kicks off in Adelaide
South Australia’s major business events showcase event began today, with 39 participants.

Now in its 20th year, attendees in 2024 comprise business events buyers and media – micenet included.

During the event, which runs today until Wednesday – or Thursday for some – delegates will tour Adelaide’s hotels and innovation districts, meet with local industry during tomorrow’s exhibition and venture further into the state with famils in the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale on Wednesday.

Organised by Business Events Adelaide, more than 50 members of the bureau will be showcased to attendees during Destination SA.

“DSA is the ideal opportunity for Business Events Adelaide members to educate event organisers on the best experiences, products, and services available in South Australia,” said Business Events Adelaide CEO Damien Kitto.

“It is a great time to demonstrate the ‘Team Adelaide’ approach that we are renowned for and helps ensure every touchpoint – from airport to airport – is exceptional.

“Over the 20-year history of Destination SA, we have managed to blend education with a lot of fun.

“We will use DSA 2024 to highlight the evolution of the business events sector in our state, and demonstrate to these influencing buyers the environmental, cultural and economic advantages of choosing Adelaide for their future business events.

“At the same time, the unique showcase dinner promises to bring the ‘wow’ factor and leave our guests in no doubt about our capability to delight and surprise,” said Kitto.

The welcome event tonight is set to be held at the Sol Rooftop at SkyCity Adelaide while a gala dinner tomorrow evening will be held at Adelaide Festival Centre. Adelaide Convention Centre will host meetings between buyers and Adelaide sellers tomorrow.
