A former Travelodge, the 166-key property was bought by the Prendiville Group – also behind the impressive Samphire Rottnest on Rottnest Island, just off the coast of Perth – in 2025.
The completion of Lido is the first part of a multi-stage, 18-month renovation of the hotel by the family-run hospitality company.
The new space includes three venues – a garden, a poolside deck and an indoor café.
“As the travel market shifts and Darwin welcomes a growing wave of corporate and leisure travellers, Lido offers a sophisticated and breezy space where wellness doesn’t need to take a back seat on a business trip, and guests can settle into that laid-back Territory pace,” said Prendiville Group regional CEO Garrett Prendiville.
micenet understands the new spaces will be made available to business events groups, with Prendiville telling the publication in June that the spaces will be flexibly designed and suitable for a variety of business events.
The hotel already has several meeting rooms, including a 215m2 ballroom that can be split in half and two other smaller rooms for intimate groups.
Accommodation at The Leea comprises 134 hotel rooms and 32 townhouses that include kitchenettes.
