Chandon opens historic homestead to business events
Melbourne’s corporate event planners now have a new private venue for leadership retreats following the restoration of the 1886 homestead at the Chandon Australia wine estate in the Yarra Valley.

While the makers of sparkling wine have a range of indoor and outdoor event spaces for up to 100 on site at Coldstream, the late Victorian era homestead has recently been refurbished and can now offer new space for small events in an historic venue featuring contemporary art and design elements.

The Greenpoint Lounge comfortably seats 14 at a long table, with ample space for other staff to sit in the bright airy room with French doors leading out to the garden. The room is equipped with the latest IT infrastructure to host a board meeting, a business planning session, team building or private dining.

Other spaces in the Homestead include a generous lobby and the Vintage Room for meetings or wine tasting with the Chandon team. There’s also a veranda that wraps around the homestead that sits on its own, away from the other Chandon hospitality venues.

Other spaces across the estate can host an outdoor garden party for up to 40, groups of 28 in half the estate’s restaurant or groups of 50 in the full restaurant for dinner, or cocktails in the popular Lounge Bar overlooking the extensive vineyards.

There’s also the possibility of a banquet for up to 100 in the atmospheric Riddling Hall – this is where the winemakers perform the methode traditionelle, regularly turning thousands of bottles to perfect their renowned sparkling wine.

At just under an hour from the Melbourne CBD, the Chandon winery is an ideal distance from city offices to host midweek corporate retreats.
