The new site provides everything from a business events guide for Queenstown to a venue directory, New Zealand flight schedules and a forward outlook for Queenstown accommodation to help organisers understand lower demand periods where room availability and pricing may be in their favour.
The site also includes information on possible itineraries and incentive activities.
“There’s a lot to think about when planning a business event, especially when you’re organising from afar,” said Queenstown Convention Bureau manager, Sarah McDonald.
“Our new range of online planning tools, suggested itineraries and access to a network of local experts, are just some of the ways we can help ensure every business event provides something out of the ordinary.
“The Queenstown Convention Bureau is a local team based in the heart of Queenstown, and we’re here to offer free, impartial advice to help bring any business event to life, making the planning process easy for planners and delegates,” she said.
The new digital presence also features accommodation maps for Queenstown and information on the destination’s $1 billion development pipeline, which includes recently opened, under-construction and announced development projects that will yield new infrastructure or experiences for business events visitors.
Pipeline projects include multiple hotels, two resorts, a 24-villa luxury lodge and a new alpine village.
“With world-class venues, spectacular scenery and a vibrant community, business events in Queenstown not only create unforgettable experiences, but they can lead to fresh thinking, spark innovative ideas and help build highly motivated teams,” said Destination Queenstown CEO, Mat Woods.
