The increasingly AI-powered venue finding platform HeadBox is opening an office in New York as it launches a new booking experience for event planners that remembers and learns from each event organised through the platform.

“Today the HeadBox platform moves from a system of record to a global system of intelligence for meetings and events,” said HeadBox founder and global CEO, Andrew Needham.

“For event planners this means elevating their day-to-day roles by removing the administrative and operational work so they can focus on the things that really matter: creating exceptional events.”

Founded in the UK, HeadBox moved into the Australian market in 2021, led by Ali Lord, with an initial presence in Sydney before expanding into other Australian cities.

Earlier this year, HeadBox grew its presence into New Zealand, starting with Auckland.

“Our clients have always come to HeadBox to save time, and our new platform takes that even further,” said Lord.

“It’s smarter than ever, learning how each team likes to work and handling the repeatable bookings automatically.

“And now it does that across 100 cities worldwide, so wherever our clients need to meet, the same intelligent experience and local expertise come with them.”

Before launching the new, smarter booking service, HeadBox tested the platform on all of its large enterprise clients with HeadBox reporting universal agreement amongst these clients that the technologically-jacked platform was better than previous iterations of HeadBox.

“AI has transformed meetings and events,” said HeadBox’s chief technology offier, Gavin Spurling.

“Legacy players can’t keep pace and AI-first newcomers bring speed without expertise, which just means faster mistakes.

“We’ve chosen to be AI smart.

“A decade of booking data to turn our platform into a system of intelligence that remembers your team, your preferences and every event you’ve ever run, and learns from it.

“The result is the intelligence of an AI-smart platform with the judgement of human experts, so every booking is faster, sharper and more personalised to the person making it,” said Spurling.

Alongside its new platform, HeadBox has opened an office in New York as it debuts a major expansion across the US, adding venues in 10 more cities across North America, including Chicago, Washington DC, Boston, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Austin, Orlando and Montreal.

The venue platform is also promising to cover 100 more cities in the next six months.
