Following the departure of Annette Gregg last week, the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has appointed a familiar face as its interim leader.

SITE’s former head of chapter engagement, Rebecca Wright, has returned to the organisation as its interim CEO, as the search for the body’s permanent leader continues.

A former president of SITE Chicago, Wright led chapter engagement for SITE between 2020 and 2023, spending some of that time as interim executive director, before joining the American Cancer Society as its strategic meetings manager. For the last year she has run her own incentive travel consultancy, Transformistry, helping clients to demonstrate the value of incentive travel.

“I worked with Rebecca during her first term as interim CEO, when I was president of SITE Türkiye,” said SITE’s board president, Hasan Dinç.

“Through the pandemic she kept our chapters connected to SITE and I saw first-hand what that meant for them. She brings that same continuity now.”

Wright called it a “privilege” to return to SITE.

“What has always made SITE special is its people: an exceptional team, committed board and chapter leaders, and the relationships that connect our global community.

“My immediate focus will be on supporting the team, listening closely to our members and chapters, and building on the momentum already established across the association.

“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with members and industry colleagues at IMEX America and in the months ahead.”

Meanwhile, former CEO Gregg’s new position has been revealed – she is the new CEO for the World Trade Centers Association, which boasts a membership spanning more than 100 countries.
