The new centre has launched a 360o virtual tour of its spaces on its website, including layouts, giving event planners a more comprehensive understanding of the venue’s scale and flexibility before they visit the convention centre in person.
“The virtual tour gives prospective clients the opportunity to explore Nyaal Banyul at their own pace and gain a real sense of the venue’s spaces, facilities and stunning waterfront location,” said Nyaal Banyul’s general manager, Rick Aylett.
“It allows people to envision how their event could come to life at Nyaal Banyul, whether it’s a conference, exhibition, meeting, gala dinner or special celebration.”
Meanwhile one of Nyaal Banyul’s chefs, Dev Gandhi, has been named the most outstanding chef in Australia by the Australian Culinary Federation.
The accolade is the result of Gandhi’s performance in the federation’s culinary challenge, in which he was awarded gold medals in the poultry, seafood and vegetarian categories.
The competition was held in front of a live audience at Nyaal Banyul’s sister venue, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, as part of the Fine Food Australia event.
“To win a gold medal in a single category is an outstanding achievement,” said Nyaal Banyul’s executive chef, Andreas Gober.
“To win three gold medals across such multiple areas and be recognised as the ACF Most Outstanding Chef is just exceptional.
“Dev consistently brings creativity, passion and professionalism to our kitchen. He is always looking for ways to refine his craft and challenge himself, and this recognition is thoroughly deserved.
“We are incredibly proud to have Dev as part of the Nyaal Banyul team and delighted to see his talent recognised on a national stage.”
Gandhi said he was “honoured” by the recognition.
