Among the 188 MICE groups comprising 67,993 delegates – a 32.9 per cent increase over 2024 – international delegates numbered 32,156, up 34 per cent. Key source markets included India, Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan, with strong support from multinational corporations.
Danang’s MICE Support Program offers tailored incentives to event organisers, ranging from financial support to marketing and logistical assistance.
When Marriott International hosted a familiarisation trip for travel agents and MICE media in September, Danang Tourism Promotion Center provided information for the dialogue session.
Marriott International Danang derived 16 per cent of its business in 2024 from MICE, and MICE revenue in the first half of 2025 was up 8.1 per cent over 2024. Singapore, India and South Korea are key MICE source markets.
However, for Sheraton Grand Danang Beach Resort & Spa, Australia is its third largest business events market.
“In 2024, the resort hosted two major Australian MICE groups, with five additional groups projected for 2025 and three already confirmed for 2026,” said general manager Emilio Fortini.
“This steady growth reflects the increasing confidence of Australian organisers in central Vietnam as a distinctive and high-value destination.”
The 258-room hotel has a stand-alone conference centre with 12 event rooms along with another three in the reception building. The grand ballroom, that can divide in three, holds up to 1,100 pax seated theatre style or 900 at banquets.
Outdoor venues include the wide beach and pool lawn. The hotel’s 230m infinity pool is the longest infinity pool in Danang.
A full buyout requires a minimum of 220 rooms over three consecutive nights and an associated F&B commitment, with flexibility for partial buyouts or exclusive wings based on group size.

For Danang Marriott Resort & Spa, Australia ranks second this year to date in terms of MICE revenue, as in 2024. The hotel has hosted two major business groups from Australia this year, with additional leads expected towards the year end and into 2026.
The 500-pax grand ballroom can be divided into two and is complemented by four meeting rooms and a boardroom. Full buyout of its 200 guest rooms requires a stay of two to three nights and a minimum F&B spend.
Situated along Non Nuoc beach, the hotel is close to Marble Mountains and golf courses.
Meanwhile, the 36-storey Four Points by Sheraton Danang has four small function rooms on the second floor, with three more function spaces on level 35 – best suited for corporate retreats and incentive stays. Room block flexibility varies depending on the season and event needs, even up to full buyout of the 360 guest rooms.
Closer to Hoi An, the Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa caters to incentive trips, executive retreats, mid-scale conferences and product launches. The grand ballroom holds 400 guests seated theatre style. Design set-ups feature Hoi An specialties. There are two boardrooms while oceanfront lawns can host events of up to 650 delegates.
“With a total inventory of 218 keys accommodating 350 to 400 guests, full-resort buyouts are available,” said general manager Piyoros Naronglith.
“We also offer flexible minimum block options starting from 10 rooms or five villas for small-scale corporate retreats or incentive programs.”
The recently-opened, 300-room Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River creates “semi-exclusive experiences” through flexible use of its 10 meeting venues, maximum capacity being 300 pax. It features the city centre’s highest-ceilinged grand ballroom and highest rooftop function space on level 45, with a splendid view.
Marriott hotels in the region enhance event programs with locally-themed meals, garden and beach parties, and activities like coffee-making and cooking classes with achievement certificates.
Off-site activities include day trips to Ba Na Hills, UNESCO World Heritage sites Hoi An and Hue, and golf. Leveraging major local festivals and events such as the International Fireworks Festival can also jazz up itineraries.
The hotels also help meet delegate accommodation needs when major conferences and exhibitions are held at Ariyana Convention Centre.
“Danang sets the stage for world-class events, blending urban dynamism, beachfront style and cultural charm,” said Duke Nam, Marriott International’s regional vice president for South Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines.
“Within this exciting region, Marriott offers six properties, comprising 1,600-plus keys and 7,000m2 of event space, from ballrooms to beachfronts. Having seen an 8.1 per cent rise in MICE revenue in H1/2025, we look forward to hosting even more events in central Vietnam.”
