Production company AV1 has become a partner of food rescue charity OzHarvest and will deliver the creative production for nine of the charity’s CEO CookOffs around Australia.

“We’re passionate about making a positive impact wherever we can,” said AV1 managing director, Nigel Mintern.

“Partnering with OzHarvest on the CEO CookOff allows us to do what we do best – produce extraordinary events – while helping to tackle food insecurity to the tune of 200,000 meals and support an organisation we deeply admire.”

OzHarvest founder Ronni Kahn AO said the partnership with AV1 would allow the charity to have a bigger impact.

“Having AV1 on board as our Creative Production Partner for the CEO CookOff means we can deliver an unforgettable experience for our supporters and raise even more vital funds to feed people in need,” said Kahn.

“Their commitment to community and B Corp status aligns perfectly with our own mission.”

AV1 will also put in the work and provide the equipment to make the most of the event space at OzHarvest’s headquarters in Sydney.

The OzHarvest partnership is by no means the only community partnership AV1 is undertaking.

Just last month, AV1 provided in-kind support for the Australian Native Food Festival, Ronald McDonald House Charities, the Barker Fair and the Can4Cancer Run – the latter of which also had AV1 staff participating.

AV1 also donated funds from a customer feedback donation drive to R U OK? last month and this month AV1 staff are taking part in the Ks for R U OK? fundraising drive.

Before the year is out, the company will also support the Assembly Conference for the profit-with-purpose movement B Corp – with AV1 already a certified B Corp – later this month and sponsor the NSW Sustainability Awards in December.
