From Mandai Wildlife Reserve in the north to Sentosa island down south, exciting adventures and deluxe facilities await meeting and incentive groups.
“Singapore continually enhances its tourism landscape, offering MICE visitors a dynamic blend of unique experiences alongside their business engagements,” said Dr Edward Koh, executive director of conventions, meetings and incentive travel, for Singapore Tourism Board.
Ongoing investments by the tourism sector focused on innovation, sustainability and positive impact solidify Singapore’s position as the ‘World’s Best MICE City’, he added.
Rainforest Wild Asia at Mandai Wildlife Reserve opens this month, the first adventure-based zoological park in Asia. Activities range from leisurely strolls on elevated walkways to more challenging treks crossing boulders, logs and streams. Other activities include the canopy jump, karst climb and simulated cave expedition.
The 13-hectare wildlife park offers opportunities for incentive programs centred on unique outdoor and wildlife experiences that enhance teambuilding.
Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, opening in April, is targeting Australasia as one of its key markets. Located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, the 338-room resort blends into its natural surroundings, with a lighter environmental footprint and sustainable features incorporated in its design and operations.
The resort has meeting and event facilities catering to small groups. Teambuilding and other packages with access to parks can be tailored to suit requirements.
On Sentosa, Illumination’s Minion Land, the latest addition at Universal Studios Singapore, opened in mid-February. It offers rides, games, shows, dining and merchandise in three areas: Gru’s Neighborhood, Super Silly Fun Land and Minion Marketplace. No details of group packages and privileges are available yet.
Other new or enhanced attractions opening at Resorts World Sentosa this year include Forum lifestyle zone, restaurants, Singapore Oceanarium and a boutique luxury hotel replacing Hard Rock Hotel Singapore.
A new waterfront development will feature a promenade, four-storey retail and dining podium with entertainment offerings and two new luxury hotels with 700 keys set to open in 2030.
Raffles Sentosa Singapore opened on March 1 with 62 pool villas, the first all-villa property in Singapore. It has a capacity of 400 pax seated banquet-style and 600 standing in its ballroom. The luxury resort welcomes small, exclusive meetings and incentive events. Whole-resort buyouts are possible.
Meanwhile, back on the main island, construction of Marina Bay Sands’ new ultra-luxury resort destination is scheduled to commence in June, with completion by mid-2030. It includes a 570-all-suite ultra-luxury hotel, premium MICE space, a 15,000-seat arena, luxury retail boutiques and additional lifestyle and wellness amenities.
Before that, Porsche Experience Centre is set to open in 2027 next to Changi Exhibition Centre, catering to local and regional visitors. It will have themed exhibitions, immersive racing simulators and a variety of dining options.
“These strategic developments enhance our infrastructure, provide unparalleled value and elevate overall visitor experience, keeping Singapore at the forefront of the global MICE industry,” said Koh.
