Singapore Food Festival 2024 presents fresh culinary experiences for MICE planners and participants

The revamped Singapore Food Festival (SFF) in October is offering a line-up to interest both food enthusiasts and business event planners looking to add unique experiences to their events.

Themed ‘A Celebration of Old and New’, SFF 2024 blends heritage and contemporary cuisine with innovative touches, exploring Singapore’s culinary diversity through a variety of signature, unique and pop-up events across the city.

“For MICE organisers looking to elevate their events, SFF 2024 offers a diverse range of immersive options that promise to leave a lasting impression,” said Andrea Koh, general manager of Blake Harris Entertainment, organiser of SFF 2024.

She said that SFF could enhance delegate experiences. Instead of conventional dinners or casual networking sessions, event planners can offer attendees an unforgettable evening at one of the festival’s immersive signature events.

Options range from “The Long Table” at CHIJMES, where a six-course dinner meets live ballet performances in a historical venue, to “Future Food” at Marquee at Marina Bay Sands (MBS), which blends culinary innovation with high-energy entertainment.

For small to mid-sized groups or VIP experiences, SFF’s unique events offer more intimate dining options in some of Singapore’s top restaurants.

“With chefs crafting menus that tell the story of Singapore’s evolving culinary scene, these settings are perfect for bespoke client gatherings or exclusive networking events,” said Koh.

Pop-up events in easily accessible public locations like Digital Light Canvas by teamLab at MBS and various CapitaLand malls can be unique, casual extensions to structured MICE programs. Delegates can also check out these after-hours activities alone or with associates.

Koh added: “We are actively collaborating with conference planners and DMCs to highlight SFF’s unique culinary experiences, exploring opportunities to include the festival’s events into their October schedules to enhance delegate experiences with authentic local culture and cuisine.”

Major conferences and exhibitions in October include Tech Week Singapore, Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific, Worldchefs Congress & Expo, Singapore International Energy Week, FHA-HoReCa and ITB Asia co-located with MICE Show Asia and Travel Tech Asia.
