AVPartners promotes at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove
Jason Farrington has been promoted to associate level at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast.
Farrington started out with AVPartners as a casual AV technician at Sofitel Gold Coast in 2016 before moving to a full time role at RACV Royal Pines Resort and becoming day controller last year.
“My progress with AVPartners has been incredibly rewarding, and I want to excel further,” said Farrington.
“My goal is to become a partner.
“I’m eager to learn from Mitch Grant, who is highly experienced. Together, we aim to make this venue outstanding.
“We are already exceeding expectations at Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove.”
Farrington has a background in audio engineering, music, live entertainment and large scale production.
“Jason has made a remarkable start at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort,” said Grant, the AVPartners partner at the resort.
“Despite a surge of last-minute events, Jason used his extensive experience to handle these challenges head-on.
“His expertise and leadership have been invaluable to our new team.”
New director of sales and marketing at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre
Tiffany Chung has been appointed director of sales and marketing at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
Chung has been with the convention centre for 11 years after joining as an exhibition floor manager. She has a collective total of more than two decades of experience in the business events industry, including with Reed Exhibitions – now RX – and the national tech association of Malaysia.
She has been the deputy director of sales for the convention centre since February 2020.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tiffany to the centre’s leadership team,” said KLCC’s general manager, John Burke.
“Her extensive industry knowledge and proven leadership abilities make her an ideal fit for this role.
“With her track record of success and her in-depth understanding our industry, company’s business and culture, we are confident in her ability to lead us through the next phase of our centre.”
Chung is taking over from Ravindran Sathiamoorthy, who is retiring after 18 years with KLCC.
“Throughout Ravi’s tenure, which began with the centre’s opening, he has played a pivotal role in the success of our convention centre,” said Burke.
“From his earlier roles within finance and administration through to his move to sales and marketing in 2018, Ravi has continually been driving business growth, and helping to create award-winning products.
“We are incredibly grateful for Ravi’s dedication, strategic vision and unwavering commitment to our success.”
