Business events showcase Brisbane Pop-Up will be back for its 17th year next month.

Organised by Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA), of which the city’s convention bureau is a part, Brisbane Pop-Up will bring 60 industry suppliers together on August 22.

Taking place at the Pullman Brisbane King George Square, the event is free to attend but registration is required.

“Brisbane Pop-Up creates an opportunity for local and national event organisers to discover the full diversity of Brisbane’s impressive accommodation, meeting and event service offerings, all under one roof,” said Brisbane’s lord mayor, Adrian Schrinner.

“Brisbane is a city made for hosting events. With state-of-the-art conference facilities, our vibrant outdoor lifestyle, and world-leading hotels, restaurants and experiences, Brisbane is an ideal location to stage memorable business events and global industry conferences.

“Event organisers worldwide have their eyes on our city in the lead up to the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As more and more events are secured and delivered, Team Brisbane will continue to welcome delegates for unparallelled collaboration, networking and knowledge-sharing experiences,” he said.

Venues exhibiting at Brisbane Pop-Up include the highly anticipated Star Brisbane, which will begin opening a week after the event, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane Showgrounds and the Royal International Convention Centre, Howard Smith Wharves, YOT Club and the Tivoli Group, which has just launched a new event space at its Princess Theatre.

Hotels in the mix include W Brisbane, the Emporium Hotel, Sofitel Brisbane Central, The Calile Hotel, Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley, Voco and Hotel Indigo Brisbane, Spicers Balfour Hotel, Amora Hotel Brisbane, Crystalbrook Vincent, Tangalooma Island Resort and the Brisbane Marriott.

Other suppliers and experiences who will be on the floor include Encore Event Technologies, Scene Change, Expo Event Services, City Winery, Sirromet Wines, Elite Helicopters, Excel Event Hire and Village Roadshow Theme Parks.

There will also be several event management companies exhibiting, including Glo Events, Event Society and A Noble Event.
