The board is being hosted by the SITE Australia and New Zealand chapter.
The group will experience some of Sydney’s incentive offering and attend the industry day being organised by the ANZ chapter.
The international board of directors includes incentive travel leaders from North America, UK, Europe, South America, Africa and India, as well as an Australian representative, Marissa Fernandez who is managing director of DMS Destination Marketing Services, based in Sydney.
“We are thrilled to host the SITE International Board of Directors in Sydney,” said Nicole Tingey, SITE’s ANZ chapter president.
“This highlights Australia’s appeal as a premier incentive destination, and our ANZ industry’s desire to advance the business case for incentive travel and draw on global trends and insights to achieve this.”
Local incentive organisers – both members and non-members of SITE – can learn from the SITE global leaders at the Incentivise inSITE Industry Day on June 13.
Members of SITE’s executive leadership team and international board will present various sessions at the event, sharing their thoughts and expertise on the state of the industry, research and planning, designing incentives for the next generation, global incentive trends and sustainability in the sector.
Various businesses have partnered with SITE to provide experiences for the SITE visitors, including BridgeClimb Sydney, Hyatt Regency Sydney, Sail by Sydney, Doltone House and The Venues Collection.
The industry day is being held at Watersedge at Campbell’s Stores, which is managed by The Venues Collection.
The society’s visit is also being supported by Business Events Australia while Australia Conferences and Incentives – run by former SITE ANZ president Colette Baini – is managing the planning and execution of the five-day program for the international incentive visitors.
