The new Cairns Convention Centre spaces are a creative designer’s dream, with event planners loving the connections, integration of the natural environment and state-of-the-art AV equipment.
With the refurbishment and expansion, the centre’s AV equipment had a major upgrade, providing the AV team with endless opportunities to deliver on our clients’ creative visions.
The world-class redevelopment has solidified the highly regarded centre as a showcase venue for Queensland, enhancing Cairns Convention Centre’s position as a leader for business events.
The expansion is unique in its design, by bringing the natural assets of the region into the new spaces. Large windows with incredible natural light, create a seamless flow to the views outside. The spaces give event organisers enormous creative license to develop unique events for their guests, creating memorable experiences for everyone.
The Cairns Convention Centre features a state-of-the-art audio-visual upgrade, ensuring business events and meeting planners have access to innovative technology, ready at their fingertips. All meeting spaces are now outfitted with cameras that have pan, tilt, and zoom control features, AV control and built in preview monitors for easy reference to presentation notes. Leading-edge laser projectors ensure visual content is presented in sharp, high resolution.
The centre has a large format 15-metre screen with a three projector blend. This screen and projector combination enables multi content to be simultaneously displayed on a huge surface. The centre also supports large-format LED wall requirements, which can be configured to meet the client’s needs.
Rounding out the high-tech upgrade is the installation of Meyer Sound Galileo GALAXY networking processors. This now sees the centre as “immersive ready” with the Spacemap Go immersive mixing functionality included within the GALAXY system.
Nine Meyer Sound ULTRA-X40 full-range active loudspeakers are also installed into the new Trinity Room, ensuring any event will have a high-end audio experience.
Clients have been impressed with the quality of sound from the lapel microphones and lecterns for speaker presentations plus the audio from bands playing for gala dinners, not too low or too high, providing ideal experience for all.
