Laissez-faire Catering brings new venues into the fold
The Sydney catering company has added three new venue partnerships to its portfolio for 2024.

Laissez-Faire Catering has signed contracts with Luna Park Sydney’s Big Top, Urban Winery Sydney in the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park and the new Machine Hall event space in the Sydney CBD.

The catering business has joined the supplier panel at Luna Park, become the exclusive in-house management partner at the urban winery and will be the caterers for 1,000m2 of event space in the Machine Hall Precinct on Clarence Street in the city.

“It is a great honour to partner with these exciting, unique venues and we’re delighted we have secured these new contracts,” said Laissez-faire Catering’s general manager, Sara Flaskbard.

“Each of these collaborations mirrors our steadfast commitment to delivering extraordinary food and beverage experiences that leave a lasting impression on guests.

“Our values are deeply rooted in sustainability and ethical food practices, exemplified by our strong foundation of working closely with local producers and suppliers in NSW. As we embark on this expansion journey, we remain dedicated to bringing sustainability, community engagement, and the five-star restaurant experience to events, showcasing creative culinary excellence at both our existing and new venues.

“We not only deliver what is promised, but constantly innovate, staying ahead of industry trends and thinking differently for our partners. We provide expert insights into the events industry, creating unique experiences at every venue we manage.”

New city venue, Machine Hall, opened in October 2023 in a transformed former electric substation. It offers space for up to 400 event attendees and 12.5m ceilings. There is a commercial kitchen onsite.

“We are driven to work with the best of the best in everything that we do, so our alignment with Laissez-faire Catering just makes sense,” said the general manager of the Machine Hall Precinct, Trish Rogers.

“Bringing with them a depth of experience and expertise in the gastronomical space, Laissez-faire Catering deliver elevated standards of service and creativity that certainly set the stage for a long and fruitful collaboration together.”

Laissez-faire Catering already has established catering relationships with several other unique venue spaces in Sydney including Carriageworks, the Cell Block Theatre at the National Art School, the State Library of NSW and The Calyx in the harbourside Royal Botanic Garden Sydney.
