In our June/July issue we inadvertently married off the co-founders of Chilli Fox Events, Matt Daly and Kate Ryall. In an article about starting up your own business we mistakenly referred to the (strictly) business partners as ‘Matt and Kate Daly’ and when the article was published they received notes of surprise and congratulations from unsuspecting colleagues and friends. It’s a pleasure when you’re walking through an exhibition like ABEE and Sydney’s Event Showcase and you come across a product that just flaws you with its simplicity and potential. First-time exhibitor at this year’s event – Buffed – has all that and more. Quite simply, Buffed offers a mobile shoe shining service that can be used to add a little something different at events. And for $150 for two hours it’s affordable and quirky.

It’s always great to see delegates on a famil trip truly embrace what the destination has to offer – especially when the itinerary is action-packed. On a recent trip to Tropical North Queensland, two very daring delegates, Grace Ng from Powell Consultants and Shonna Mulley from McCorkell & Associates, took the plunge at Cairns Zoom and Wildlife Dome and jumped 13 metres in a free-fall PowerJump. Be sure to look out for an extensive update on Tropical North Queensland and all the other shenanigans delegates got up to in the December issue of micenet AUSTRALIA. On ya girls!
