The Australian Event Awards has locked in a Sydney venue for next month’s winners’ ceremony and it’s a first for the national awards program for Australia’s entire events ecosystem.

The awards have partnered up with The Jackson, a new luxury Sydney Harbour super cruiser which launched earlier this year.

The Jackson will host The Event Awards ceremony on the evening of November 23 on its Main Deck, with tickets strictly limited and allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

The awards night will showcase all three levels of the cruiser, which has a total capacity of around 700 standing, with pre-dinner drinks taking place on the Mid Deck and the Rooftop Bar. However, tickets will be naturally limited by the Main Deck capacity where the sit-down dinner and winner announcements will take place.

“Following a year where we had to host the Event Awards Ceremony virtually, we are excited to be getting the industry back together, in a face-to-face environment, and being able to showcase this new venue to the industry,” said Australian Event Awards managing director Ian Steigrad.

“The four-hour cruise on the Harbour will see the national winners announced, state and territory winners recognised and ample time for the industry to enjoy a three-course banquet courtesy of The Jackson.

“It is also an opportunity to reconnect with people you’ve not been able to see in person in a while and take in the vista of the Harbour between the awards announcements,” he said.

The Jackson is a major partner of The Event Awards for 2022.

Finalists for the Event Awards were announced last week, with some of Australia’s biggest events on the list as well as notable and significant exhibitions, conferences and corporate events.
