Last weekend Sydney Showground welcomed 11,150 guests for the Sydney Pregnancy, Babies and Children’s Expo (PBCE).
The event was deemed a success by the venue and the PCBE team, with organisers dispersing crowds over the day through strategically planned session times and additional space courtesy of the venue’s Covid-19 support options.
PCBE managing director, Cameron Just, attributed the success to ‘great collaboration’.
“In delivering our December exhibition, we were fortunate enough to work with a venue that was flexible, supportive and solution-focused,” he said.
“The team at Sydney Showground went above and beyond to ensure we were able to run our event and provided a COVID-safe environment for both visitors and exhibitors.
“The show delivered above expectations with over 11,000 quality buyers. The collaborative attitude provided a win-win scenario for the venue, buyers, sellers and the PBCE team.”
Sydney Showground general manager, Peter Thorpe, said it was fantastic to see the site come alive with crowds again.
“It is always such a wonderful feeling to watch an event come to life, particularly when everyone has been so devoted to ensuring its success,” he said.
“December has been a great month for Sydney Showground with events of all sizes slowly returning to the venue, and with preparations for the Sydney Royal Easter Show in April well underway – 2021 is certainly looking up.”
