What are the top 3 things you will do after lockdown?

I travelled quite a lot last year for work and leisure and was travelled out by year’s end, so I’ve had no trouble being nailed down. It presented me with the challenge of standing still for once and to not to focus on what lies ahead, but to make the most of each day as it dawned. No doubt, I’ll be up and champing at the bit after lockdown, but who knows? However, visiting relatives and interstate friends would make the list.

What are your favourite things to do at home to keep you sane/happy?

I joined Spotify and find it exhilarating to dial up any song, musical or piece of music I choose and dance or sing like a loon around the lounge room.

I’ve dusted off my best china and serve myself afternoon tea with French Earl Grey leaf tea, in the pot.

I’ve become gardening obsessive – clipping, digging and planting.

I’ve upped the exercise routine; been on a number of bush and coastal walks with one friend at a time (social distanced, of course); played a few games of golf; sung via a Facebook link ‘With One Voice’ Willoughby Choir; played Monopoly via Zoom Tuesday evenings; and joined in on the occasional webinar.

What new skills are you learning?

Oh lordy, cooking! Who knew you had to cook dinner every night? In this industry there are so many cocktail, breakfast, lunch and dinner events, I’d quite forgotten how to cook, but I am trying.

Writing a book! It’s all very well to write for a living but writing a book is a whole new animal.
