ICC Sydney has made a swathe of promotions in its kitchen, including promoting Dylan Sanding to Executive Chef.
Currently the Executive Sous Chef, Sanding has been with ICC Sydney since before the venue opened in 2016.
ICC Sydney Director of Culinary Services, Lynell Peck said Sanding’s appointment was not only testament to the creativity and professionalism he has displayed since joining the team but also demonstrates the positive impact of the training and career progression opportunities that are provided at the venue.
Other promotions in ICC Sydney’s kitchen include Rakesh Pillai transitioning from Chef de Cuisine to Executive Sous Chef, five additional Sous Chef internal advancements and two Junior Sous Chef promotions.
Over at Canberra Convention Bureau, as part of a restructure, Kimberley Wood has been promoted to Head of Sales, a role she has taken on in addition to her previous role as Director of International Bidding at the bureau. Wood has worked with organisation in some form for almost eight years.
“After a challenging year for our industry, I look forward to leading the Canberra Convention Bureau sales team in reconnecting with event organisers, rebuilding towards our pre-COVID targets, and continuing to attract events that drive innovation, knowledge and thought leadership from Australia and globally,” said Wood.
The bureau has also promoted Kimberley Roberts-Salee to Head of Marketing.
Roberts-Salee has 10 years of experience in Australia’s tourism and business events industries and will oversee the bureau’s marketing channels, industry events and membership.
