Mercure Kooindah Waters Central Coast has again been recognised for excellence, winning the Gold Award in the Business Tourism category at the 2012 NSW Tourism Awards.
More than 700 people attended the awards, incorporating 31 categories, with the winners announced at a gala dinner in November.
“This is an amazing achievement. To win at regional level for the second year in a row and go on to receive the Gold Award at state level, I could not be more proud of my team,” said Mercure Kooindah Waters Central Coast GM, Jessie Sheehan.
Mercure Kooindah Waters was awarded Silver in the same category in the 2011 NSW Tourism Awards, and was the category winner in the 2012 Hunter Central Coast Tourism Awards for Excellence.
“To win gold at state level is confirmation that Mercure Kooindah Waters is continually being recognised as a conference and business events destination of excellence. We’re excited to compete at the Australian Tourism Awards in Hobart in February.”
The NSW Tourism Awards celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses in NSW that demonstrate outstanding achievements and success throughout the year. Winning an award is the industry’s highest accolade, with recipients representing the best in the state.
Other finalists in the Business Tourism category included Business Events Sydney, Rydges Port Macquarie and Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains.
